I had friends in Santa Cruz who believed that we should eliminate the police force from our towns.  You know, not murder them or anything, just fire them.  Take away their guns.

I think that until our culture gets its shit together, we need cops.  I don't mind the police.  Personally, the police have both hurt me and helped me, just like everyone else in my life has.  I make sure my car is registered and I ignore them. 

Of course, it's easy for me to ignore them since I am Whitey incarnate.
